Circuit: Paramount

Historic chains (known as ‘circuits’), like Odeon, Gaumont, and ABC, played a key role in popularising cinema throughout the 20th century. Odeon, founded in 1930, became synonymous with grand Art Deco theatres while ABC catered to suburban audiences with smaller, accessible cinemas.

Today Curzon and Everyman still have connections with the past while most of the earliest cinema circuits are long forgotten.
